Site Moderators..

Since this is not the Camelot, i would like to add 3 Moderators to help me run things..now .. i need input please.. too lazy to set up a pole..

do you think we need Moderators?

things are fine as they are don't change anything??

looking for willing memebers or i had halicat,Dreamcast18 and Krzy Kat in mind unless thety don't want to mess it which okay too...

Jim, no I have not been banned. All I did was ask a legitimate question. What bothered me and made the bad apple fall from the tree was that my quote was used to chastise other members. I have never bashed anyone or their opinions, degraded anyone, or even posted on topics where sides were being taken. I've always considered myself to be the type of person that doesn't wander too far from the comfort of the "grey area".

And Krzy Kat, Rpowell, Randy? concerning your quote "I was suprised by that myself. I thought she called people out more than I did." I have never outed anyone - it should be up to them whether or not to disclose their sexual preferences. :wink:

I think its obvious by the fact that skan kat was bumped that "THEY" (like "The Others" on lost ...) definately READ this forum. No other possible reason for it.

Just curious but what are the moderators supposed to do? We had them (and I was one on the PPC). It can be a real slippery slope!

I think they're supposed to just make sure things don't get real nasty. Like if someone's cussing lots, or stuff like that. personally, I don't see moderators doing anything on the site, but they can if they are needed to.

I moderate on other sites where we need to delete SPAM postings.

Ok that sounds reasonable but if you have moderators then you should have rules right? The only rule I recall was that there is no hard porn allowed in the men's lounge. If there aren't rules per say then it's open for interpretation and hence the slippery slope. Not trying to stir the pot but I remember what happened on the PPC site. What offends one person may not offend another. JMHO.

I hear what you're saying, and actually posting that almost word for word - is what got me banned from POA. LOL. Personally - I kind of think of this as a group community and should be just a majority with respect kind of thing.

If anyone started being so obnoxious that everyone started complaining, I assume David would simply have a chat with them off-line and ask them to stop being an Ass. I really don't see the moderators doing anything on this site (and obviously they never did any of that on POA). POA should have simply PM'd or E-mailed people that they thought were not being positive in their contributions to the site

they are here to help us with the site... Today i was on the road and offline for 24 hours..incase we needed to help some with password,move a thread,etc,etc... they can help now ..as we are getting more posts it's needed...i can't keep an eye on things all the times and 4 eyes are better....

That PHBB forum system is REALLY easy and REALLY great to work with !

Sure is ... we got ours up and running in like 15 minutes. I had ours installed because I saw it was used here, and just looked up their site. I use it for my development team to exchange ideas and info. then we decided to have a public section for clients too. (www.gsmcall.com/forum) - very cool.
