Introducing The 3rd Generation Retrobuilt Specialty Car The RSC-69-S
We have been on the Cover of 5.0 Magazine in February 2008 with the RSC- GT- 67 and in September 2008 With a GT 500 68 Tribute Style we built. This is the Prototype we built for the 1969 Shelby Style. This car has taken just over a year to build and is ready to be Delivered to its new owner.The car has been drove just over 5000 mile since completed and is ready for more !
This car started out as a 2007 Mustang Shelby GT 350 with a 4.6 Super Charged motor and a 5 speed manual transmission .It has the normal Premium GT options including 6 disc cd player with Shaker 1000 radio and side air bags . It also has had the rear end gears changed to Ford 373 gears ,Shelby Paxton Super charger with inter cooler and programmer ,Bear Brake Upgraded (brakes and rotors). Bassani Stainless X- pipes with cats ,and a Steeda Pan hard bar. The car has over 420 HP at rear wheels and 500 at the crank with current tune witch is mild and runs very strong.All the modifications was done by Ford.The car retains the balance of the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty from Ford.
The wheels are Shelby limited edition CS 69 with 20x10 on the back and 20x9 on the front with Yokohama Avan Sport 255/35/ZR 20 tires. The Mustang has had a full body conversion done by Retrobuilt to look like a 1969 Shelby Mustang with all the comforts ,warranty and reliability of a new car. The car took a little over a year to build and then was pulled apart for molds to be made. This is a high quality built car with a lot of detail put into it. The doors are custom built all metal so molds could be made of them.This will be the only car with metal doors.The rest will be built with fiberglass from the molds taken off these doors so take advantage and own the prototype.The rear window slats are also metal. The front fenders,hood,front valance,headlight buckets,quarter panels,trunk lid,rear valance and rear tail light panel are hand laid fiber glass.The front fenders have the factory Ford ribbing and is a direct bolt on.The trunk lid is a complete new bolt on item.The Hood stainless and front fender eyebrows are from Shelby Restorations which is well know company in the Shelby and Mustang restoration world. The bumpers are steel just like the originals which are widened almost 4 inches and then triple chrome plated.The door handles and marker lights are all 1969 reproductions.The rear wing was made from a factory ford correct 1969 mustang wing which was widened almost 4 inches to fit the car and contour of the deck lid.
All fiberglass work was done for us by Cobra Fiber Glass which has been in Business for over 35 years and is well known for top quality parts which have superior fit and finish in the Shelby world. All parts on this car will only fit this car and No other.
Most people don't believe its not a metal car.
The car runs and drives out prefect. We just unveiled the car at Mustang week in Myrtle Beach SC and everyone loved it and most thought it was a 1969 until they looked inside or really looked at it close. You never go any were with out visiting about the car and it gets attention every were it goes. We do have some Magazines wanting to shoot the car so when it sells we would like to work with the new owner to see that gets done.The car has had 5000 miles put on it since the conversion was done and has had no issues. There is custom billet badge being made that will be available to the new owner.
We have a 1969 Mach One version in the works right now and are in the planning stages of a Convertible being done.We can build a car to your specs including color, year and performance options.
