It happens in Texas this week...

1.5 mile Quad-oval track with 24 degree banking.....

3 RACES LEFT

Kahne won the last race at this track.....but that means nothing , there has been a different winner here in the last 6 races...

Vickers has the pole..........

JJ, are you worried seeing the #25 running fast ?
you should be.... vickers is not allowed in the Hendrick team meetings and will be running with a different team next year........

Whats that I smell ?............lol.... mybe its fear......

standings for the cup as of today:

1 Matt Kenseth ****Leader
2 Jimmie Johnson **** -26
3 Denny Hamlin* **** -65
4 Dale Earnhardt Jr.**** -84
5 Jeff Burton**** -84
6 Kevin Harvick **** -121
7 Jeff Gordon**** -146
8 Mark Martin **** -201
9 Kasey Kahne**** -210
10 Kyle Busch **** -249

heres a question ....

If Mark Martin officially gives up, I think he did last week after the race, do all the guys behind him required to throw in the towel as well ?

like Carl Edwards says on the commercial "crazy old man....."

...... I have a surprize prize for the first one to post the winner......

I'll post my picks later....

load up the six shooter, practice up for the line dance, put half a cow on the BBQ and lets go racing !

heeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaa !

Auto racing - the real American sport!! Where fans tail gate for two or three days, instead of two or three hours!

The BIG Texas track,,,,plenty of banking for stick! Going to be an awesome race,,,,a must see!

The Cup Chase is up for grabs,,,,,,I went to a fortune teller last night to get today's results ahead of time

AC's PICKS:

1. Kasey Kahne - UAW Dodge

2. Smoke Stewart - HomeDepot Chevy

3. Kurt Busch - Miller Lite Dodge

4. Carl Edwards - OfficeDepot Ford

5. Scott Riggs - Dodge

Dark Horse Pick > Bobby Labonte - Petty Dodge [I can't believe you guys have convinced me that he isn't over the hill, lol]

Roasted, road kill, rabbit is going on the 'Q' today,,,with a few brats to line the stomach with grease. 30-pac of ice cold Buckhorn beer,,,,out of code salami slices on Ritz crackers is on the pre-race menu. Nothing too good for my invited guests! Lots of yelling and swearing to follow with the green flag >>> it's Race Day!

Let's Go Racing,,,,,,GREEN,,,,,,,,,, :nana2

"dark horse: Kenny Schrader " ???

Jimbo - did you steal my quarter pounder of weed? Must be kidding,,right? Schrader will be running in the back pack with Dale Jarrett and the UPS truck,,,,,,about two laps off the pace! I'll let you edit,,,before the race starts, lol.

good chit man.....lol

kenny has been doing good lately... was running close to the front when he got wiped out last race.....

I just had a feeling that today may be his day in the spotlight....

maybe i should have called Kenny the Dark, Dark Dark horse.. :)

How come you never picked that "crazy old man" ....?....lol

AC-INXS

The Old Man?

God damn,,,,,I was pulling for him to win the Cup,,,,but it ain't going to happen with all his bad luck lately,,,,,,,,and it seems Rousch Racing has thrown in the towel for this season to the Chevys. Kenseth has an outside chance,,,,,,but something isn't right over there at Rousch right now. Biffel,,,,my guy last year,,,,,,,,,,couldn't back it up this year either.

Mark would have to drive down and dirty to win,,,,,,and that has left him. He still is one of the best,,,,,in a clean race. That won't be today.

poor old Jeff Burton....

blowout put him in the wall...

i feel bad for him....

Luv it! Never cared for him either,,,,,,

Smoke is on sunday cruise. He's the best driver out there,,,followed by Robbie Gordon. Only a problem can stop the 20 from a win,,,,,damn near bullit proof Gibbs/Chevy.

#8 - air off the rear,,,,,right quarter into wall. Enjoyed that also!!!!!!

Another wreck,,,,,,Schrader pushes up into the wall. Jimbo,,,,he can still dark horse win it >>>> with three wheels >>>> if he runs it in the infield demolation derby race,,,,,lol. Sorry buddy,,,,,had to rag on you, lol.

Stewart
Johnson
Harvick
Kyle Busch
Clint Boyer

turn it up another notch for next week......

going to be awesome...

halicat
11-05-2006, 06:05 PM
if its any consolation...

the 4 tire change didn't make any difference in the end...

blackcat
11-05-2006, 06:12 PM
You're right it made absolutely no difference. It seemed like JJ was holding back at the end. Not sure if he was but prior to the last restart he was faster then Stewart............................... Good race! Good finish!

halicat
11-05-2006, 06:22 PM
he was playing it safe...
it would be foolish to race a guy like Tony who had nothing to lose..

jj had everything to lose, smart move..

can't wait till next week now... Phoenix...

blackcat
11-05-2006, 06:25 PM
Yep, one of the reasons not to like to point thing........... It use to be that every race stood on it's own and everyone tried to win every race. Now they just race for points. Got cars runing out there that shouldn't be racing but they want the points. Oh well I still like to watch 'em.

AC-INXS
11-05-2006, 06:26 PM
BULL SHIT!!! Damn Kahne's Dodge crumbles with what, six or eight laps to go? I got screwed!!!

I'll admit,,,,Smoke had 'em covered all day long. Bet you guys thought I was crazy listing Scott Riggs in the top five picks today? He was there,,,2nd,,with three laps to go,,lol. He should have taken JJ to the wall and pinched him off..... And,,,what did I say about Rousch racing earlier? That team is self destructing.

Off to the desert next week,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,bring home boys!

blackcat
11-05-2006, 06:31 PM
Actually I thing Kahne fell asleep at the wheel as usual. Nothing wrong with the engine. Driver ran out of balls! LOL!
