Guys,

Mort has located the company that has purchased the M & L Delivery top mfg business and we wondered if there is any interest here on buying one of these tops like the one recently on ebay. we know quite a bit about the top as it was discussed on another thread.
I'm not going to bring it up on the other site as they will just trash talk it down till the end of time. I know that we are better than that here and feel comfortable bringing this subject up with all you fine folks....

anyone interested ?

I would do it if I had another Prowler to mess around with...unfortunately...garbage collection pays less than caskets..

I swear that reminds me of a hot-wheels car when I was little. I think it's a unique look, but is so hard to change out - that going that route semi-permanently eliminates the convertible aspect. So my thought is no. For someone with a show-car only like George ... it may have possibilities.

PS - did you hear from george yet? I need to see if I have his orlando number lying around so I can get him to the golf course.

How much did the one on ebay go for? How much to reproduce?

I really like the top in pictures . . I'd love to see it in person. (Dig the wheels, too!)

However, I have to agree with Krzy Kat . . it would be like owning a permanent sedan. If I had two Prowlers, I would get one of these to install on it.

By the way, M&L made an awesome chrome front grille. Did whoever end up with the top also get the manufacturing rights to the grille?

The one on ebay didn't sell... the owner would have taken $5000 for it.

New they were $5800, I was told they only ever made 5 of these. I would like to buy the tooling...

I look at it as an alternative to having a trailer, for car shows or long trips.

Good point on using it as a trailer alternative. I'll bet visability is a bitch! I having trouble seeing out of my car now! Cool mod, though, and very exclusifve.

It would be cool if they could do the fron of it with a t-top design as compensation to losing the convertible roof.

the one on ebay had a sun roof

I've seen this car twice,,,,once at Woodward, and once at the SEMA show.

I like the looks,,,it grows on you.

But,,,,,,cost is way out of line for what you get and I can't see removing my soft top assembly just to have the top in place. So,,,not for me.
just my dimes worth

To add to A/C's statement. It can be a little tricky reinstalling that rear decklid if you decide you want to go back to the original look.

Just something else to think about.

True that..it pretty much becomes a permanent fixture. We hardly even take off our hardtops on both kats now..too lazy..haha..

As mentioned...it will work great for a 2nd Prowler in the garage
