I paid over $200 for mine on Ebay. They've become impossible to find, so if you want it, you'll have to pay the price.

I like it. You know what I'm thinking of doing .... finding some grill material like what I now have, and then take that along with my headrest covers and send them to Canada for grill chroming and implementation :)

What about soldering the insert to the headrest ??

I tried to silicone the mesh to the headrest cover but it didn't work. The velcro works the best so far but could be better. I was thinking of getting a new set of covers and sandwhiching the mesh between them so that one set of covers was on the front of the headrests and the other was on the back. I just can't bring myself to pay the $250 for a second set. Maybe $100 for the unpainted would be ok....if I could figure out if the chrome paint would work...

Nice pic's again.... your the Man

So the 300 grip just has chrome in the middle of the grip and it's off of all types of 300's or just the loaded one's, I'll be checking my local wreckers tomorrow. the head rest Mod's are very cool, but im not paying 250 US for chrome plastic, where did you get the mesh for the centers, look's awesome.

hey Todd,

that 300 grip style shifter was only put on the Prestige and the very hi end 300's.... they are no longer available as a new part from the dealer. my dealer ordered me one in and it was substituted by the one I already had.

I cannot find out what year these shifters were made.. I think 2001 but not sure ... anyone know ??
I had the mesh inserts made for me at a local metal shop, they are stainless steel and painted gloss black. they charged me $10 for the set, i just used door edge trim to frame them and velcro to stick them in place.

the $250 is extreme but they really look great...some guys buy them unpainted and paint them the car color.... it looks good, unpainted is $100.

good luck in your search for the shifter...

I just dug out my Prowler folder that I keep all kinds of notes to myself. I jot down info on scraps of paper as I learn of stuff and I throw these into a folder.

Anyway, I have a note stating the chrome and leather shift knob is from the 2001 300M with the Premier package.

Not sure when or where I ran across the info but I wrote it down for future reference.

Hope it helps.

KK, do you happen to have the part number too? It would be easier to search @ the junk yard with the part number sometimes.

thanks!

Thats great work Paul....

be carefull on the part number.. it will cross reference to the solid leather one. get the yard to confirm that it has the chrome on it before they ship it.
I ordered one from the dealer with the chrome/leather part # and ended up with the all leather one. They shipped it back.
