in my 30's..

it was a hard mounted unit in the car.... back then they were called car phones... bought it used for $750.

About 42...company issued bag phone.

Got one in approx. 1984 or '85.?? I was about 30 or 31.
Floor mounted in my Chevrolet Caprice.

I cut a deal to sell gas to the area cell phone provider and in turn I had to get a phone. One of the first in the state to get one. It was expensive at that time. About $1,000 if I remember right. VERY limited service area.

1988. I was 39. The phone was mounted in the truck. Coverage was limited and the roaming charges were high.

Jay had a 2-way radio telephone installed in 1971 in his '71 T-bird but it wasn't called a cellphone.

The phone was a Nokia...I still have it somewhere...it was so big you could kill somebody...
I was in my early 20's...it was sooo cool..
