Hi! Thanks to the help of Scott "Obi Wan" Curtis I now have a gorgeous chrome grille and tach. This grille was number six of the first six he has made, but I understand he's working on another one now. I can't explain it, but it is not like plastichrome. It is real chrome and looks stunning in person. Thanks Scott, for plating the grille and tach for me. Great work! I've also thrown in a shot of one of my mirror bras that Speed Lingerie made for me. I have the full silver bra as well, just didn't have time to put it on this morning, and it obscures the grille a little.

Hey DC,
I know it's hard to tell in the pictures, but it's highly polished silver, just like the chrome rims (The GOOD part of the rim, not the pitted and starting to peel backside:-)

love the tach,
Obi does fantastic work, but you gotta have patience....I'm a little shy on ordering anything unless he has it in stock....

Thanks you guys. The hardtop, the chrome suspension and possibly the rear spoiler (haven't decided if I like it enough to give up the air patrol) are on the list for next year. The only project I'm trying to complete this year is the new Tom Mills bumperless rear apron and his newly designed trailer hitch that fits it.
After I get everything done, I guess it's time to do something about the paint. I saw a Rolls Phantom this weekend that was the same silver as the prowler, but had a dark gray graphite hood, roof & trunk in a black tie configuration. It really looked classy. (Might have had something to do with the fact it was a Rolls, though  )
Hailcat: Yes, Scott does great work. Everything I bought was in stock. The speedometer is under $200.00 on an exchange basis, and I beleive he has a ton of those on hand right now. He's also in the process of stripping, prepping and plating my core grille, so it shouldn't be that long before he has one available. The cost isn't that much more than what some of the other custom grilles are selling for, plus you can't see into the battery area like you do with the vertical bar grilles. This grille would make your car look hotter (if that's even possible!).

I believe u can keep the airpatrol. Sherman and some other folks have the spoiler and the airpatrol being used at the same time.
U also forgot to add custom exhaust system to the list
p.s. The black prowler was almost sold this weekend, but I had to fly to Philly.

Obi is more of an artist than a mechanic... I would like the chrome grill but need a hardtop first..... i kinda like that one Randy has, its about half the price.
I'm still trying to get some of that chrome paint to try on my stock grill.... totally frustrating,
I may have to ship it to toohipcat place then drive down and pick it up.
great mods Scot ! ....the car looks fantastic :tu:

Yeah DC, maybe there's a higher power (other than Skankat, of course) that made you go to Philly and miss the sale. Seems like there's been a lot of near misses and I'm beginning to think it's because you are destined to keep it. And, yeah, I forgot I have to get the exhaust done to fit the new pan. Oh well, caskets don't have pockets.
Halicat, Thanks for the kind words. There's someone down here working on the chrome paint as well. I'll let you know when I hear back from him. I believe he's taking a couple of grilles to a local source today to test it out. And, it sounded like it may be cheaper than the guys in Canada who perform essentially the same process. If the grilles come out looking good, I'm going to get my rear fender splash guards done. I'll keep you posted on his progress.

Have you looked into ALL of the different types of paints that "House of Kolor" offers? They may have something to suit your needs. They were even experimenting years ago with a paint that contained glow in the dark pigmentation!
By the way Scott...your kat looks GREAT!!! The chrome grill and clear side markers really accent the Silver. Nice brake lines too.

Thanks for the kind words, Brian. No, I haven't looked into House of Kolor yet. Heard a lot about them, though, and I do have it on my "to do" list. Especailly if I decide to turn my silver into some kind of "tie". A nice pearl or kandy kolor would look kool. The problem would be deciding which color.
I'm still kinda leaning towards the old school black tie look. I saw an Infinity on the road today that had a carbon fiber hood. It was a high quality, jet black, hood where you could really see the "grain". Wonder how much to have a Prowler front and rear hood made out of that stuff? Probably about the same as the Hubble Telescope!
