Nascar race in Charlotte Saturday night

Lowes Motorspeedway just outside of Charlotte, NC will host the Saturday night Nascar Race tonight at 7pm Eastern.

This 1.5 mile Quad-Oval track has 24 degree banking..... these guys really motor around this baby.....and its a night race... gotta love it !

The crashs are spectacular.... something we haven't seen alot of this year. maybe they are saving up for the last race....or maybe tonight will be the night.

Jimmy Johnson won the last race here, but that was the past... Scot Riggs takes the pole tonight but has some hungry critters right behind him...

I used to be a big hockey fan when I lived in Chicago. Saw many games live. It seemed like it was always game on between Chicago, Detroit, Boston Montreal and Toronto. It was great....until I moved to Atlanta!

Chicago had a great old rink.... the air raid siren, the big pipe organ... Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita...
I used to listen to the chicago games on the radio from where i lived in Detroit...

Yeah the stadium was interesting. It was in a very bad part of town. My future wife and I went to a game one night in her father's new Cadilac. Wasn't a good descison. Apparently all the locals liked the car and decided to eat chicken and drink ripple in it while we were at the game. The cat stunk bad for months.

the old Olympia in Detroit was the same.......

Couldn't have been in a worst spot....the trip from where the car was parked and the arena was a fast dash....lol

The sprint in Detriot was a cab ride in Chicago. The closest parking at the Stadium was about 12 blocks....... and the Black Panthers HQ was in between. I didn't mind the sprint but the wife didn't care for it at all.
