Do you prefer an electric or gas stove when you cook?

Gas, but we just put in a electrolux electric stove. Cooking on it is a dream. Really you have a lot of control of heat to the burners. Just love it. We share our cooking time. I cook the good food and Pat cooks the bad food(just kidding Pat)

I prefer gas, but we have an electric and it is difficult to control the heat plus the cast iron burners take a long time to cool down.
Mrs. Freeze - I'm sure you have the best, so what brand is your electric cooktop? :bows

prefer electric just 'cause it seems cleaner, but when the power goes out for extended times (hurricane), am left with gas grill outside. Really like the ceramic/glass stovetop (GE Profile), makes cleanup much easier!

I have the Frigidaire,, stainless steel with the warming drawer instead of the storage drawer. I also have a warming zone in the middle of my cooktop,,, with a bridge element. My range is 5 years old already. I love it,,, love having a glass top. cleaner.
I do cook with stainless steel pots & pans,, the flatter the bottom the better on glass top ranges.
I also have a wall oven,,so,,, I have 2 ovens to cook from,, plus my warming drawer. As we have a huge family,, and our house is always the gathering place for any excuse of a celebration! I love it. :tu:
