Nascar races at the "Monster Mile" Sunday....

Todays race is at Dover International raceway....

Dover hosted the first Cup race held after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the United States. Dale Earnhardt Jr. got the win that day and took a giant American flag on a victory lap.


This one mile long oval track has high 24 degree banking and is always an exciting race.....

Jimbo - I hate to tell you.

Last 35 laps,,,,Kenseth and Burton one foot apart. Kenseth = faster car on 'tired' tires. Burton = nearly as fast, on fresher tires. Burton got the fender up beside Kenseth with about three laps to go, and made the pass. On the last lap,,,,Kenseth and Sorenson ran out of gas. Reed was in the top four all day,,,,,the kid is going to be good.

I don't have a dish, just jackass cable....I can't believe no one carried the race....

I do watch NFL ... sometimes.... but more towards the end of the season as i usually watch Nascar this time of the year... before hockey season starts....

Jim - you were not alone. On Wind Tunnel show on Speed Channel last night,,,,,,,a lady called in from Canada bitching about the race being pre-empted for football games,,,,she was totally pissed as well. Guess the Canadian race fans need to contact their cable company to complain MORE!!!

they did get back to me about the last time they didn't cover the race about 3 weeks ago.....apparently they weren't allowed to telecast it as it wasn't offered to them in their contract....

The races are on TNT,,,,,which I believe is owned by NBC.

I don't believe their excuse about not being able to telecast it,,,,if the same network has been carrying other races - BS. Somebody in control there,,,,just prefers football over auto racing. They are discriminating against the huge population of redneck Canadians,,,,,,,,,,,,,, lol
