Great muscle car, but never liked the spoiler. However, it probably needed it for flight stabilization. :tu:

Friend of mine that owns the second largest road/bridge construction company "Posen" in Michigan & Florida called me about this car last week as he was going to bid on it to resell at Barrett Jackson. I told him that it is not a secret anymore and is publicized extensively, by internet, and in addition to all the Mopar clubs throughout the US. There has been another Daytona for sale on Ebay for $799,000. Does anybody have a wild guess what this one will go for ? I'm thinking less than 300K.

125,000 to 150,000, the 428 miles is probably since restoration

...wouldn't touch that car with a 10 ft pole
...many many years ago, a friend of mine owned that very same Daytona and shortly after he bought it, he found out that every previous owner had died (one was murdered and cut into small pieces)...he quickly unloaded the car to a collector in Ca. and the car was soon slightly damaged in an earthquake...last I had heard of that particular car until this ad...and it looks like the same bad luck is still with the Daytona
...best I remember, there were a total of 71 1969 HEMI Daytonas made and about 20 some are still known to exist(as of a few years ago)...I sold one in 1988-90 to a guy and at that time, there were only 21 known, and not all were complete restored cars...this Daytona is exactly like the "Christine Daytona" I knew many years ago...is it the same one, maybe not, but I'm guessing it is...odds are in my favor it's the same one
...PS...BONUS, I bet the new owner will get an IRS audit shortly after the purchase, thats always fun
pix...the one I sold in 1990 set a worlds record at the time, $195K
