I am going on vacation to Newfoundland for a week with the Kat and have purchased the input/output trans sensors in case i have the "stuck in secon gear " problem.
I know that i need a 1" socket to change them over but don't know exactly how to get to them.
If anyone can give me step by step instructions on how to change them it would be greatly appreciated...

The input sensor is reachable but you need to have the right angled wrench.

The output sensor is a little more forgiving. It is closer to you.

If you stand back and view your CAT from behind, just look to the left of your license plate or drivers side and go underneath. You will see two harness plugs going into your tranny. The input sensor is the one deeper in and the output sensor is the one closer to you.

This may help.

I'll check my mail when i get home.... this work computer is pretty restricted....everything is filtered and I cannot access my home e-mail...

but Prowltalk is OK... what can I say, my employer has good taste...

On a similar/different subject, I need to replace the oil pressure sending unit/sensor.... I see NOTHING on that one. I got the part, and it's probably a direct replacement, and I "think" it's right around the filter there somewhere... :)
Didnt even see it on Norm's many helpful pages!
