Since I am not travelling this week, thought I'll do something to the black kat before putting it up for sale.

Jenn really liked Dustis' mod to the grill, and since it was a 'economically responsible' mod. I decided to go that path.

Before:

Edge Molding:Went to Kragen and PepBoys. Kragen didn't have any and Pepboy's U-shaped molding didn't have 3M adhesive and were sold in ready cut (2 strips of 20" for $3.99). So ended up with this one which is not U-shaped. Thought it'll be different from the rest of the kat packs in SoCal.

End Result:Using some Meguair's Quik Detailer, I cleaned the grill and started applying the molding. Wala!

That looks great DC. Really makes the grill pop without being an overkill. Nice work.

Thanks everyone for ur nice comments, I'm just not as 'mod-capable' as the rest of the folks here

Hali:The black is awesome...but it is really painful to maintain! Might put it up for sale for feelers once the heat wave passes..will only sell if I get my asking price. Good reason? How abt a minivan? haha..just kiddin'

We know you want the cash to buy a Smart car

the upkeep on the black is a chore....
I wash mine everytime I use it...and wax it with Zaino every week or two...

I don't mind.. its a labor of love...

The Mr. Clean Auto Dry system works well and saves having to dry it by hand..

DC - I'll need to collect the $10 user fee from you for using the AC Chrome Grill Treatment System. Its a one time charge,,,,,even if you "space" the molding out among the grill vanes.

Send $$ soon,,,,,,,I need the money for a new pair of shoes from the thrift store, lol.

Looks good!
