The Ultimate Vette for the Extreme Corvette Collector!
Custom built 4 door Corvette. Made from a 1987 Corvette convertible stretched 38”. Radical suicide doors! 2008 Detroit AutoRama 1st place show winner. Turn heads with the most extraordinary Corvette ever! Awesome bodywork! Stunning custom made ground effects & leather seats. Dazzling pearl paint.
This car took 18 months to build. It started as a 1987 driver type convertible with 92,000 miles. It was in excellent shape for the miles. I cut the car in half and made steel extension frame members from ¼” thick plate stock. The driveshaft was custom built with a mid-ship bearing in the middle.
The rear doors swing open in a suicide fashion. The front door opens first, then the rear door can be unlatched from a lever mounted on the frame rail.

There is no top right now. I had planned on building a collapsible Carson top that would look just like a convertible top from the outside but be mounted on a steel tube framework underneath. It could fold up and be stored in the back. I just never got around to it, and somehow lost interest. It would also have to be fitted with rear windows, which is maybe more complicated. It’s been so much fun as a convertible; I really didn’t need the top or windows
