Can someone tell me what you have done w/ the tire pressure sensors on the wheels when you send them to be rechromed. I'm thinking about sending my wheels to Eli. I'm told that the average life of the batteries on the sensors is 7 years, is this true?
Thanks,
Matt Murphy
just label them (location) an wait till the wheels come home. not sure about battery life....

The batts only use power when the car is moveing,so a low mile car might last longer than 10 years. 2002 batts are smaller and have a shorter life but cost alot less.Best to put new O-ring seals on them when you get the rims back.

Good advice, you need to do that Every Time you remove/reinstall a LTPS.

Rather then putting black tape on your dash why not just remove the bulb very easy to do.

My kat is 11 years old with I believe the original sensors. Also...it just turned 62,000 miles.
After spending all that coin getting them rechromed by Eli at Fast Forward Wheels...I'm happy that they are still working.:tu:
