THIS IS A RANT...STOP READING IF YOU THOUGHT IT WAS AN AD

I've been selling some unwanted Prowler stuff off the Black Prowler and have been getting ridiculous offers from some folks (from the other site).

For example:

1. Black Weekender (when it was pre-stolen) <-I was offerred $380. I accepted an offer more than 3 times that. (but still under retail or typical used)

2. Black Patrol <-I was offerred $100. I rather donate it to our good folks here (whom made me REAL offers) than sell it for $100

The sad truth is that I can get ALOT more on ebay than dealing with such crap offers. I'm just too lazy to deal with ebay.

From now on, I'm only going to let folks here get first dips on any prowler items I'm wanna let go for -> UNDER retail new or used. After that, I'll store it and sell it in future for bundles of $$$ (esp when they stop making those accessories for the Prowler) on ebay during my vacation time.

I suspect people who lowball offers are:

- planning to turn-around and make some $$$
- planning to rip some 'idiot' off

sorry for the rant folks...

Maybe they figure if you are willing to take a low offer.....why not give it a try? There is no harm in asking. There are a lot of members that are not educated to the costs of these items. Of course, you could be right and they are just trying to rip you off.

Dave:U r definitely right! I have no issues if someone doesn't know what to offer.

Usually, folks will ask me how much i want for it IF i don't list a price.

My peeve is with folks who ultra low-ball me after I have listed a price. Knocking off 10~20% is OK with me, but offering me 20% of asking price is kinda dumb.

Thanks for listening!

What's especially funny is the people that offer the least amount of money for your stuff, typically list their own items for the most! I've seen some unreal asking prices on things.

Likre Dave, All I can figure is they are trying to gouge somebody that is new to the hobby who hasn't yet learned what stuff costs yet. If so, that's pretty low.

what always mystified me was when someone published a price that was a bit high.... they jumped all over them...
this "you must be crazy" or "you should be shot and pissed on for asking such a price".... sup wit dat ?
what a bunch of bullshit.....
I say let anyone interested barter them down or just don't offer anything.........dreamers right ! .... offer a fair price , not an insult to their intelligence. ( did i spell that right ?....lol )

now you got me ranting !!!!! lol

Dustis:I kid you not! That was how low the offer was!
I should have asked if I should throw in free shipping and a trailer.

Hali:Right on! As with most things..if there's nothing nice to comment about something listed for sale..then KEEP QUIET. What wil be funniest is that someone decides to post 'Trailer for $2500!' and request for prepay..and runs away with the $$$...now..that'll be greed @ its best!
