Here is the preliminary intinerary for the upcoming Draem Cruise. Because this is a first year event , we are not sure how everything will play out. We will be a bit flexible so that we can do whatever the group decides they want to attend.
Friday:
For those coming in early enough, there will be a short cruise to dinner. Be at the Emerald Shores Hotel by 4:30 PM to join in. After dinner at the North Turn restaurant on the beach, weather permitting we will cruise the area and stop for some treats later on. (Please make sure that you have a full tank for both days please!). There is also an Elvis impersonation contest on Main St. at Pub 44. Depending on the group's interests, all events are flexible.
Saturday:
There is a free breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast at around 9 AM, we will be leaving the hotel for the Crane Cams and Raabe Racing tours. There will be free drinks and dogs at Raabe Racing. Once the tours are completed, we will be off to cruising around for a while around the town and then we will head up to Flagler Beach for dinner on the beach at Crabby Jacks. There will be photo opportunities for you at different places along the route. Those that have joined us in the past for the Turkey Rod Run will remember the cruise up through the the State Park and along the beach in Flagler. We will do that again.
After dinner, we will cruise back down A1A back into Daytona and then to the Volusia Mall where there will be an outdoor movie theater set-up showing an old car buff movie(s), I believe it is a racing movie of past races on the beach, etc. We will have preferred parking at the movie venue. The movie starts at dark and after the movie we will again be driving our Kats on the streets of Daytona Beach well into the night on A1A which has been designated as the crusing highway for this event.
Sunday:
Again there will be a free breakfast at the hotel, or for those interested in a different breakfast, a local restaurant has been chosen for an early morning breakfast. Those wishing to stay a bit longer can join us at the at The Aquarium restaurant at the Yacht Basin with all the other attendees for the send away giveaway.
All the events of the weekend are available on thier website. As of this point, we were told that there will be over 2000 vehicles registered by event time.
