I guess we'll be driving what Hali has had for the last couple years..i disagree about Smart cars being 'not-safe'....have seen crash results..those cars are ROCK SOLID...

I kinda like the beetle, they've got some character. and while I'm here working in Egypt, let me tell you they're everywhere (yes the old ones).

Now the pacer or the chrysler K car .... those are some butt ugly cars.

My Dad had an AMC Hornet that was sickening to look at...

Grandad Had a Maverick that was barf green and extremely uncomfortable to drive....

Hali: I've never seen one..something like this? Looks like a Pacer.

Krzy:Isn't that interesting? In Acapulco, its Beetles everywhere too! I was in Cairo and Luxor for work 2 yrs back..Egypt Air was the worst airline I've ever flown! They have goats on board..i kid u not. Too many beggars too....sad...

For folks who do not know Dustis, this is what he and miss kitty drive in 'Bama when they're not in the Prowler: (i assume he's ready to squash the little 'turds just like road-kills when the turds arrive in US)

Yeah Dreamer, I'm in cairo right now and can't wait to go home. Been here over 2 months straight on this trip working. I've been spending probably 3 months / year here over the past 5 years. And Yes - Egypt Air sucks, alhtough never seen a goat - LOL. I've been flying Egypt Air ever since American stopped flying here. And their business class although 10X better than coach leaves something to be desired. I finally this trip talked the company I contract with over here to fly me on France Air or Lufthansa next time. Seats that actually recline to flat as opposed to back 12" will be HUGE. 13 hour + flights are a bitch. What were you doing for work in Egypt? My guess would say cairo+luxor and what they are lacking ... umm... engineering of some sort, possibly electrical.

Krzy: I switched to British Air after a while..couldn't deal with the 'carry-on' luggage. Was working on a project for Bank of Alexandria. I hate the long stays there, but enjoy the transits in Dubai and Amsterdam (when I take KLM). What's up over in Egypt?

BA - Nice ... I just can't get them to fork up double the ticket price for BA (I heard that France Air is only a half step down, not sure about lufthansa, been years since I flew them). I can fly round-trip business for under 4K, BA wants over 7. Pre-paid calling card business. If you used them while in Egypt, then you probably used my company - Egypt Telecard. Yeah, Dubai is a different place - very good for buying Rolex and such (you ever buy one of those lottery tickets there? $100 ticket for a chance at a new convertible bentley). KLM - I used to use them when I'd fly to Qatar and sometimes Kuwait.

Krzy: Was in Kuwait too. Last client who offerred me a job there was MTC who's rapidly expanding in N.Africa. Great benefits, but wasn't the right time.
